At The House of Charity, we firmly believe that knowledge serves as the first line of defense against burn injuries. Our comprehensive Fire Safety and Burn Prevention Program addresses a significant healthcare concern: burn injuries are among the leading causes of accidental injury and death in children, particularly hot water scalds, which pose a serious risk to those under five years old.

This initiative provides essential burn prevention education to new parents and caregivers. In collaboration with hospitals, pediatric clinics, and birthing centers, we offer comprehensive training on crucial safety measures, such as proper water temperature testing and home safety protocols. Our materials are available in English, Spanish, and Urdu, ensuring wide accessibility. Partnering healthcare facilities receive complimentary educational resources to distribute within their communities.
We engage young learners with fire safety education through interactive 20-30 minute sessions. These presentations incorporate songs, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, making safety education both memorable and effective. Available both in-person and virtually, this free program caters to schools, Montessori centers, and pediatric facilities. Partner institutions benefit from ongoing access to our educational resources and regular safety presentations.
Our youth leadership initiative empowers teenagers to become safety advocates within their communities. Through comprehensive 45-minute training sessions, students learn about burn prevention, first aid, and effective advocacy strategies. Participants can earn community service hours and recognition, while developing valuable leadership skills and making a significant impact in their communities.
Our storytelling initiative features “Izza’s Story,” an engaging narrative that imparts essential safety lessons through the art of storytelling. Available in multiple languages, these 20-minute sessions can be scheduled free of charge for birthday parties, schools, and Montessori centers. Each participating institution receives a certificate of completion, acknowledging their commitment to safety education.
We welcome educational institutions, healthcare providers, and community organizations to partner with us. As a partner, you will gain free access to our educational resources and presentations. Contact us to learn more about partnership opportunities.
